- Nanostructured thin films containing nanoscale semiconductors – including homogeneous and composite layers, as well as multilayer structures suitable for electronic, optoelectronic, and sensor applications.
- Thermally and photo-induced phenomena
- Investigation of thermal and photo-induced effects on nanostructured materials.
- Synthesis of nanostructured and amorphous oxide and chalcogenide thin films, using both physical and chemical methods, and study of their properties for potential applications in:
- Non-volatile memory devices
- UV and gamma radiation detectors
- Gas sensors
- Photocatalysis
- Synthesis of multilayer structures with artificial periodicity.
