Activity

The laboratory conducts broad-spectrum research in the field of wide-bandgap semiconductors, combining synthesis, structural and optical analysis, electrical measurements, and applications in photonics, sensing, and environmental technologies.

Research Areas

  • Nanostructured thin films containing nanoscale semiconductors – including homogeneous and composite layers, as well as multilayer structures suitable for electronic, optoelectronic, and sensor applications.
  • Thermally and photo-induced phenomena
  • Investigation of thermal and photo-induced effects on nanostructured materials.
  • Synthesis of nanostructured and amorphous oxide and chalcogenide thin films, using both physical and chemical methods, and study of their properties for potential applications in:
    • Non-volatile memory devices
    • UV and gamma radiation detectors
    • Gas sensors
    • Photocatalysis
  • Synthesis of multilayer structures with artificial periodicity.
