The Institute of Solid State Physics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences is organizing an Open Day, which will take place on October 18, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the following address:
Sofia, 72 Tsarigradsko Shose Blvd., BAS Science Complex 2.
Under the motto “The Magic of Physics – From the Laboratory to Innovation and How Science Drives Technology,” the event will showcase how theory, physical laws, and research activity find real-world applications in our daily lives and in the technologies of the future.
The Open Day is an excellent opportunity for students and high school pupils who wish to get closer to the world of science, learn more about physics, its applications, and innovative achievements, and discover firsthand the possibilities for academic development and a career in research.
Visitors will have the chance to explore some of the laboratories of one of Bulgaria’s leading physics research institutes, take part in virtual tours, interactive demonstrations, and workshops. Those interested in pursuing a scientific career or continuing their education in the field of physics will gain insights into the academic growth path offered by the Institute.
