Project Description
The project is funded by the EU through the Recovery and Resilience Facility and is aimed at the partial renovation and modernization of the building and laboratory infrastructure of the Institute of Solid State Physics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (ISSP–BAS).
It is implemented under Component 2 “Research and Innovation” of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Republic of Bulgaria, investment C2.I2 – Strengthening the innovation capacity of BAS in the field of green and digital technologies. The main goal is to provide modern conditions for scientific and research activities that support the development of new products, technologies, and innovations with high added value.

Achieved Results
The project under Contract No. BG-RRP-2.014-0013-C02 was successfully completed within the planned deadlines. All scheduled construction and installation works and equipment deliveries were carried out, with the procurement procedures conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements.
The following rooms in the Central Building of ISSP–BAS were renovated and modernized: 101, 209, 219, 221, 224, 226, 301, 305, 306, 307, 309, 312, 316, 318, 320, and 329, as well as the main entrance foyer and corridors of the building.
All construction works were carried out in accordance with the technical specifications, accepted without remarks, and certified with the required protocols, certificates, and declarations of conformity. Control measurements confirmed that the site was completed with high quality, safety, and full compliance with regulatory requirements.
The result is the creation of a modern, functional, and sustainable environment for scientific and administrative work, which will contribute to:
